Q: Is the property easily accessible?

A: Yes, it is a 40km drive from the Zambezi (R513) & the Moloto Road (R573) interchange, and a short 2,6km gravel road from the R573 leading directly to DeruxaCottages.

 

Q: Is it safe?

A: Yes, the farm has been game fenced.

 

Q: Are children or pets welcome?

A: Children are more than welcome, but unfortunately no pets are allowed.

 

Q: Do you have a pool?

A: Yes, there is a splash pool in which to cool off.

 

Q: Do you accept credit cards?

A: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or cash only, please.

 

Q: Do you provide meals?

A: Meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner) can be provided upon request in advance (1 week prior to your stay). We specialize in typical South African menus with an emphasis on meat prepared on an open fire (braai).

 

Q: Are quad bikes allowed?

A: Due to the sensitive nature of the ecology, unfortunately, no quad bikes or motorbikes are allowed.

 

Q: How close are we to O.R. Tambo Airport?

A: We are 1 hour's drive from the airport.

 

Q: Do you offer transport?

A: Transport can be arranged to and from Pretoria and/or the O.R. Thambo & Lanseria airports. A shuttle service between Deruxa and neighbouring lodges can also be arranged.

 

Q: Do you provide a laundry service?

A: Laundry services can be arranged with prior notification at an additional cost.

 

Q: Is Deruxa in a Malaria free area?

A: Yes, insect repellant is also provided in each room for your comfort.
